110TH ANNIVERSARY OF HALAS LACE
The Halas Lace Foundation kindly invites individual lacemakers, lace schools, lace „workshops”, lace teachers and their students, lace associations and groups, to exhibit some of their laces and to demonstrate their technics even to sell their products during our 13th International Lace Festival in the Lace House, in Kiskunhalas, Hungary We would be highly honoured if the teachers and the students of the lace schools, members of the lace associations gave appointment to each other for the weekend of 20th - 22nd April in the Lace House, Kiskunhalas presenting their technics to each others and also to our visitors.
The 13th International Lace Festival will be very unique because we also celebrate the 110th anniversary of HALAS LACE. Please, rise the level of this birthday festival with your personal participation and with your displayed laces.
Hereby we kindly invite every lacemaker / induvidual or in groups/ to send us some of their laces that they have made themselves and that they are their favourites. Any kind of lace technic, colour is welcome and both the traditional and modern laces will be admired. Each participant may enter with max. 4 pieces of lace with the maximum size: 60cm and also the schools, associations, workshops, groups, e.t.c. participating members. / for example: 4 students of a school can send 16 pieces/
We are also waiting for old laces in the age of halas lace ( around 110 years) – from the private collections!!!- with any technics, from any countries. / table clothes, dresses, fashion accessories, funny pictures made of lace /.
Application for the exhibition:
with sending back the Application Form 
by E-mail or by fax; not later than
15th March 2010
The laces must arrive not later than
10th April 2012
Each work must be presented by a photograph with the indication of the below mentioned details
- the title, the material and the technic of the lace
- the name and the address of the lacemaker, and also the name of the lace school, the teacher, or the association.
- the value of the laces
- in case of old laces: the year, the technic and the country of its production and also the name of the owner
- We also need 1-2 photos about the town or the country of the participants because we would like to show also the places where the laces are from.
Because of technical reasons we can not accept framed and glass-covered works hoping everybody’s understanding.
The laces should be either delivered or mailed at the risk and costs of the participant.
The laces will be returned to the senders not later than 1st June 2012
The organizers reserves the right to alter these conditions of participation.
Need for accomodation should be sent together with the registration documents remarking the exact number of the persons, days and nights.
The total registration fee/ unchanged for ages!/
for individuals : 40 EUR
the groups, schools, associations e.t.c. : 60 EUR
must be sent together with the Application Form to the address of Halas Lace Foundation or transferred to our bank account/ see below/ not later than
15th MARCH 2012
It covers : postage cost of the returning of the laces, promotion, insurrance, installation, printed materials.
